Overspeed nasce dal desiderio di raccogliere in un solo fotolibro gli scatti più emozionanti delle stagioni fino al 2022.

Ho deciso di concentrarmi sulle Road Races Internazionali, su alcune prove dei mondiali “dirt”, su eventi dal fascino intramontabile come Bol d’Or, Classic TT, European Endurance, fino alle storiche ed i Sidecar al Tourist Trophy; chiudendo così “il cerchio” sulla gara che per me rimane la più bella in assoluto e che mi ha lanciato in questo mondo, cambiando nel 2012 la mia inclinazione fotografica riguardo agli “action sports” iniziata nel 2001.

Overspeed was born from the desire to collect the most exciting shots of the seasons up to 2022 in a single photo book.

I decided to focus on International Road Races, on the ‘dirt’ world championships, on events with timeless appeal such as the Bol d'Or, Classic TT, European Endurance, up to the historic and Sidecar races at the Tourist Trophy; thus closing ‘the circle’ on the race that for me remains the most beautiful of all and that launched me into this world, changing in 2012 my photographic inclination towards ‘action sports’ started in 2001.

Find Your ROAD RACE

Con più di 200 fotografie il libro tiene traccia di 5 anni sui tracciati di alcune delle Road Races più famose: Tourist Trophy, North West 200, Ulster GP, Manx GP, Classic & Post TT Races.

Avrei voluto una mappa non basata solo sui racconti, sulle ricerche e sugli studi fatti. Da quel desiderio nasce questo libro che non vuol esser una guida, ma semplicemente un indicatore, come lo è il segnale di una curva per un pilota: "questo è quello che ti troverai davanti". Tutto qui, ne più ne meno.

Le Road Races, sono diametralmente opposte alla corse su pista, ci sono decine di punti per assaporare una sola curva. Comprate una mappa, una radio, e ricordate che l'elicottero segue la testa della corsa. Le foto sono in ordine di percorrenza. Seguite il vostro istinto e vedete il più possibile. I wanted a map that was not just based on hearsay, research, and inquiries.

That’s where this book comes from, it’s not a guide, it’s simply a hint. As a marker flag it’s just going to show you what you’ll probably see there. Nothing more, nothing less.

Road Races are completely different from track racing, there are many ways to witness a single spot. Buy a map and a radio, remember that the helicopter always follows the head of the race.

The photos are presented in race order. Trust your gut instincts and see as much as possible. Let yourself be inspired and look for your favourite place, find your ROAD race.
